Overdrive Problem?
Hi,
This morning my 92 F250 with a E4OD, with no associated noises acted like the brakes were draging. At first it just happened going down a slight hill, then normal. Then after trying to accelerate from 25 to 45 it was worse. I clicked the overdrive off and the problem went away. It seems like the OD went out, does that make sense to you guys? Also, could it be a switch or something on the OD since there was no metal breaking or anything? Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thank You
Matt

RE: Overdrive Problem?
you may want to pull your tranny pan sometime just to see if you have any metal if there isn't than it probably isn't a tranny problem, and turning off the od may not have anything to do with the problem. if it happens again try the od swith again to see if it still changes. go ahead and tell me if anything changes next time.
