Default Power Distribution Fuse box? Where?

Dear All,

Hello. The radio is my 1999 F250SD just stopped working. I have a factory repair manual, and it says check the fuses in "FUSE JUNCTION PANEL FUSE 8 (5A), POWER DISTRIBUTION BOX FUSE 29 (20A) ". The fuse junction panel is under the steering wheel, but where is the Power dist box? Is that the fuse box under the hood on the drivers side? I do not think so becuase when I look in that box, Fuse 29 is a large 50A fuse.. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Regards
Mo

your radio fuse should be up under the drivers side dash. it should be for the radio only.not in the power pack , this is were all the breakers and heavy fuses are.

Position 29 in the power distribution box is for the radio, and should be a 20 amp maxi fuse..

Hi,
I will TRY this again. I got all the way to sending ua pic & my browser crashed.
In your owners manual (the largest one) on pg 149, it tells u where it is, which is in front of the master brake cylinder. UNDER THE HOOD!! Be careful these are HIGH -CURRENT FUSES!!!

This should help, if not, I can send adiagram of the under hood.
Good Luck,
Laurie
