Puzzled
Hey new here,
I own 2015 f250 SRW and recently added some rear facing cube lights to back bumper as well as cubes to headache rack. Used the provided up fitter switches in the truck. Driving home from the shop my dash and all warning lights came on example; advance trac, yellow engine light, A/C stop blowing cold and all instruments in panel went dead. But the engine ran fine until I shut it off. Tried to restart and lost all the juice. Let it sit for maybe 10 min, turned key over and it fired up and everything came back to life. Im puzzled as to what happened? drove it since then a couple more times and no issues until yesterday. Did the exact same thing. Turned around headed for home drove about 15min and everything came back to life and ran fine. my question is do you think I have an overload on up fitter switch or relay overload or grounding issue?

Hi Jace,
Fords are funny animals in that they do not like add ons.
Depending on where you tapped in to obtain power to operate the lights, we are sitting on a possible can of worms.
If for instance a front or rear lighting module is involved , they are designed to sense any kind of problem and if noticed can and will shut down the system to prevent damage to electronic components. Suggest you temporarily disconnect what you added and see if the problem goes away. Then go fro there. Can you do that?

Thanks for the reply
I will try that this week. I’m curious my upfitter switches are 20 amp, 15 amp. 10am and 5 amp . The lights on rear bumper are 16 w LED maybe I should try to move them to the bigger amp switch?
thanks

What the switch can handle is not the problem, save your $$$.
First we need to know if taking everything out of the system , separating the add on from all other systems.allows all to go back to working as before. Can we do that first and get back to us , thanks.

Had a real good look at all the wiring this morning. Could not find any evidence of anything wrong. Everything appears to be functioning fine at this point. I have found a schematic of wiring for 2015 ford f250 up fitter switches and maybe a bad connection at C215.Until I can get problem to show up more often and actually locate the problem,Im just going to keep driving it.
Any thoughts?
