I'm having the same issue, I have a 2002 F350. Has anyone had an idea what might be going on?

I started having the same problem with 2001 F250 about a month ago. The book doesn't say which fuse it would be so I don't know where to look.

I am currently diagnosing the same issue. I start the truck and the parking sensors always illuminated "off". I have a 02 F350.

After a little research, Im starting to track down the problem.

The most common problem is a failed sensor. You can either go to the dealer and they can hook up some diagnostic equipment and tell you which has failed, or if you are like me and hate dealerships, you can try this:

Turn the ignition on, but dont start the vehicle. Put the transmission is reverse (with the parking brake on, duh). Now run back to your rear bumper and put your ear right on each sensor. You should hear a really quiet tick-tick-tick-tick-tick.....its really quiet so you wont hear it with the vehicle on. I did this last night and 3 or the 4 sensors made the ticking sound, but the far right (passenger) sensor did not. If any of the sensors have failed, the system defaults to inopperable. I am currently trying to track down a sensor to confirm this. Others on the internet say this works, I'll keep you posted.

If none of the sensors are ticking, I'd venture a guess that not all the sensors failed at the same time. This would lead me to believe that you have a failed PAM (Parking Assist Modual). And this is where my knowledge of the system ends. Still trying to figure out how to diagnose the PAM. I'll cross that bridge if a new sensor doesnt fix my problem.

Best of luck!
