Remote start not working....
2021 F350 with key start and remote start on the fob. Just picked this truck up. Remote start worked at used car dealer...got home and now it doesn't work. I've done all the checks I can think of. Watched a ton of youtube vids but can't get it working again.
I can lock/unlock the doors but after locking the doors I push the button twice and nothing. A red light flashes once on the key fob. Everything I've seen indicates that this means you are turning the truck off! But it's not started yet. The only changes I've made are set my mirrors to fold when locking and changed the doors to just the driver door unlock on first push.
I can't believe any of those would disable the remote start.
What is kind of strange is it has happen to both fobs. So it seems to be something internal.
Any suggestions greatly appreciated.
Trying to stay away from the dealer if possible.

Unless the place has the info, equip and knowledge of exactly how the system functions. a lot of good parts may wind up getting replaced and expensive too.
You might consider checking if you can find a good shop to handle this.

I thought I would throw it out there and see if anyone may an easy fix or solution before taking it to the dealer. I believe the truck is still under warranty with only 34K miles and 2 yrs old.
I just don't want to get the truck tied up for a week for a simple fix.

Unfortunately, the days of a simple fix are gone. With all the features in today's vehicles involving electronics, diagnostic time can exceed an hour and the usual rate is between $75.00 and $125.00 per hour and they haven't done anything yet.
We try on the forum to help explain what may be involved and what might help. Sometimes it is a simple correction, but a lot of times it can get really involved.
Today's vehicles require access to certain info without which it can be almost impossible to make a worthwhile diagnosis.
Shops have to pay for access to that info and it gets passed on to the customer.
In addition to that , people with the right qualifications are becoming more difficult to find , so the service dept gets backed up and it can be difficult to get in right away.
