Hello, I'm on my second 6.0 however this one I purchased was red-light from an auction and was missing the cat. It's a nice truck however to pass visual inspection in Tucson I need a converter. Junk yards destroy them or can't legally sell me any. I would be happy to pay shipping and whatever you believe one is worth. I don't want to spend 400 dollars on a brand new one because I'll usually hone it out and weld it back on the exhaust. If anybody can direct me in finding one for "scrap metal" it would be greatly appreciated.

 

You will have to bite the bullet and buy a new one. Chances are any scrap yard one was replaced because it was bad or hacked up because it was stolen.

 

My factory exhaust had a cat on it that I found. My whole exhaust system was found on the steel scrap pile here after someone thought it was scrap. I don't know how long it's been there...but there's a lot more rust on it than I expected. glass packing is out of it and is hollow.
