TBC Fault F360

TBC Fault F360
I have a 2006 F-350 SRW Supercab 4WD and I am getting a "TBC Fault" on my dashboard. I hooked up my 5th wheel trailer and I get no brakes in the trailer, even when I manually pull the lever to test brakes. Brake and turn signal lights all work. The fuse isn't blown; the wiring at the plug-in adapters in the rear of the truck do not appear corroded or dirty. I removed the factor built in brake controller and disconnected the wires, and I still get the code TBC Fault. That seems to tell me that the problem is not in the brake controller. Any ideas?

Do you have a scan tool to read codes? If not, you need one. Highly recommend ForScan Lite to a smartphone or the full version to a laotop. The software is cheap (free for the laptop software). You will need an OBDII adapter though. The adapter you want depends on the device you plan to use (android phone vs iOS phone vs laptop).
The adapter can run $35 to $80. I have used the BAFX bluetooth adapter for Android and the BAFX WiFi adapter for iOS. The OBDLink MX (or MX+) products are perhaps better and for sure would get one of them for a laptop.
Having any ABS issues? Notice anything odd with your instrument cluster?

After researching this all over the interwebs, I concluded it was a bad solder in the factory installed Trailer Brake Control 6c34-2c006-ae Tbc. There are numerous companies that re-solder the part for about $75. I was able to re-solder it myself, but I may get one to have just in case. They are over $400 from Ford.

I was getting the TBC light and alarm and removed the module and resoldered the problem contact 2 orv3 times, removed fuses and still had the error message. I put my 2005, F350 in the shop for brake work and State inspection. I got a call that none of my brake lights worked and the shop determined my brake light switch was bad and replaced it.
I read is some previous thread that the switch could be the TDC fault cause. Reinstalled the TBC module and WA LA no more TBC fault.
