Have had no prior issues with this truck. It turns over like it is going to start, but never does. Anyone with any ideas before i have to carry it to the shop? Any suggestions will be appreciated.. It has about 220,000 miles.

The glow plug light will not come back on all the time if the motor is still hot.Did your truck choke(sputter) out and die or just died?Check fuel pressure. If no fuel pressure you might have a leak some were on the fuel lines. When a diesel just dies for no reason ,i always find some thing to do with fuel pressure.

TRUCK JUST DIED WITH NO WARNING. IT HAS FUEL PRESSURE AND I DO NOT BELIEVE IT IS THE CAN SENSOR AS I HAVE REPLACED ONE OF THOSE ON MY 2001 F-250 AND THE 1997 DOES NOT HAVE THE SAME SYMPTOMS. ANYONE HAVE ANY OTHER IDEAS? COULD IT BE THE WIRING?
