My wife and I submitted our order for a new F-250 in February of 2021. After about 4 weeks the dealer said Ford was no longer taking orders for the 2021 year so we would be getting a 2022. This was fine with us as we were told to expect an 8 to 12 week wait time. It was mid August before Ford finally picked up our order from the dealer. It is now January 17, 2022 and we still have not received a build date for our truck. I have been in contact with the dealer on a monthly basis and they have repeated stated they have never seen an order take this long. My wife sent 9 emails to Ford before receiving a response. When she finally was given a contact person the response was this is something you need to discuss with the dealership. I'm not sure this is something that can be managed by the dealership since they submitted the order and Ford has not scheduled the production of the vehicle. I am a bit displeased to say the least. This would be my fourth brand new Ford vehicle and I am reaching the point where I may consider some other vehicle options. Has anyone else in this forum had any similar issues in the past or currently?
