Want to add a switch into the burglar alarm circuit for a toolbox in the bed. Where is the best place the cut into the circuit? Does someone have a wiring diagram with wire colors?
Will also need “always on” 12v to power the radio receiver. So proximity to 12v is a benefit.

I have a radio remote control with two key fobs and a 12v receiver unit. I am adding magnetic bugler alarm sensors to the key fobs and putting these in the tool boxes in my bed. The receiver that has a relay should go in the cab of the truck. My intent was to cut into one of the door switches and hook the relay into that circuit, but there is no longer a door plunger switch. Not sure what Ford is doing for door switches now. Integrated into the door latch mechanism? It would be great to find a wire that is easy to access. Was also wondering if there is a sensor wire for the locking tailgate?

Ok so the door ajar switch is built into the latch but the latch has two connectors, one for the lock actuator, one for the ajar switch.
Based on the wiring diagram the BCM watches for a ground to determine if the door is open, switches are drawn in the at rest position and I assume at rest for a door ajar switch would be with the door closed, I could be wrong though.
Here is the wiring diagram for the door ajar switches, I highlighted the wire and connector/pin I would use, its the one that connectors the door to the vehicle body. You should be able to remove both front and rear scuff plates and the B pillar trim panel and see the connector and harness.
I circled in purple a power wire on the same connector, the wiring diagram is somewhat confusing about this but I believe that will be power all the time, you should double check that with a voltmeter though and I would put a fuse between however you tap into that wire and your radio receiver.
I do not know how large this receiver you have is but I would likely situate it where I made the purple circle on the vehicle view.
