2005 Ford 500 SE w/CVT: Where is the tranny dipstick?
OK, where is it? Does the 05 have one? I was told by two local Ford dealerships there isn't. A couple of months ago I saw a pic of it, but was that in the 06 or 07 500s? Recently I purchased my Mom's (hence "EmmaJean500") 500. It has 45,000 miles on it. I am also baffled about when to do the maintanence , 60,000 or 100,000 miles. If the wrench light doesn't come on I am okay. Also, both of the Service Managers in the Ford dealerships said they have never had a 500 CVT transmission with issues. I have owned this car for two months and no problems. I sold a 2009 Ford Focus SES with 48K miles as I did not need to won 3 vehicles. With lower back problems when I drove from Bardstown, KY to near Champaign, IL I experienced a great ride. If someone here has the same year and SE model I would appreciate your comments regarding this. I have looked under, and felt, for a CVT dipstick. Nothing! Thanks for any replies!

Thank you! Will try that tomorrow.
Update (6/27/15): I found it! It is in a 12 o'clock position from the bottom of the AF box. I am not blind, yet, but the morning light let me see it better. It kinda "leans" toward the top of the tranny. I carefully removed it and checked the end of the dipstick. It looks yellowish-green, and it does have an odor, but not a burnt smell. I took out the filter, and laid the top part so I could see better. I really can't understand why 2 Ford dealership service managers would tell me there wasn't one. The top part of the dipstick was red (also, I am colour blind). A pic of one a month ago used yellow. I am glad that it wasn't a snake, and THANKS!
Update (6/29/15): This morning ran the 500 for 30 minutes. In the driveway I removed the top of AF box, etc. Slowly put my hand close to the tranny d/stick. Very little heat from the engine. Checked the fluid level, it was almost to the top hole, very greenish yellow, did not smell burnt. Put everything back together. This was a piece of cake with LOTS of chocolate icing!
