heated seats on ford fivehundred
#3
Mine never worked from the get go... I bought my Ford 500 2005 in 2009. The dealer (go toyota arapahoe Centennial CO -- real cheats - don't buy anything from them) also sold my wife a 3-year warranty for $2400 and they never fixed anything. They routhlessly discouraged my wife of taking the car to their repair shop for issues that needed attentions. Bad, bad, bad Go Toyota Arapahoe.
Anyways the seats warmers never worked. we just put a blanket on the seats during the winters. You do the same and save $600.

My wife's FIVE HUNDRED Limited had that problem a year ago. I looked under the seat and all the wires were broken off. It looked as though something had been placed on the floor in back and had slid forward, tearing out the wires.
I purchased a new heater at Auto Value (Many Parts stores carry them or can have them in a day or two.) and installed it. It's not one of my favorite jobs, but it is not that difficult, if you are careful not to tear the upholstery. The seat is heavy if it's a power seat, so be careful removing it and installing it. The part cost was around $70.00.
Hope this helps.
