Instrument panel dies at 2500 rpm
Hello all. I'm having an odd problem with my 06 five hundred limited FWD. Whenever driving if I hit the gas enough for the car to reach 2500 rpm the instrument panel(speedometer, fuel gauge, everything else on there) turns off and then back on a few seconds later. The engine seems to stay running just fine and I haven't noticed any loss of speed or acceleration when it happens. I tested it with car in park and even then once it hits 2500 rpm exactly everytime it happens.

As you are probably aware electronics behave pretty unusual sometimes. For example if there is a poor connection and the network available voltage drops below a certain limit some things just quit working. On the other hand if the voltage goes too high the electronics have safety limits inserted and can also result in a shutdown.
What sometimes helps is called a forced reset. This involves disconnecting the battery cables (both) from the battery and connecting the terminals together for a half hour and allowing the internal charges to dissipate and go down to zero. Then reconnecting the cables back on the battery , positive first then negative.

Same problem
My mom has a 2005 Ford Five Hundred 40k miles And the back up lights were on when in park or driving. And the dash lights did not come on. They replaced the battery and alternator. And a week later the car won’t start now. It has been connected to the computer 3 times and shows no codes.
