Default 2009 Flex overheating and leaking coolant

My 2009 Flex overheated and is now leaking a lot of coolant from somewhere. One photo is the thing I removed to show where the coolant has puddled and the other is the puddle. Gallons more have leaked to the ground. The puddle is located 6" towards center of engine from the battery but down about 10".

Any ideas as to where the leak is coming from?

No one likes to be the bearer of bad news...............but if it really got hot there is a good chance you might be looking at a head gasket job. What happens is the head warps and now it leaks.
If this is found to be the situation, a rebuilt head is an alternative. Best to have the cooling system pressure tested to verify if that might have happened.

Oooof but thank you for responding. The car still drives as normal just leaks coolant then overheats within 5 minutes (I'm not driving it tho). Would it still drive with a bad head gasket?

IF,,,,,,, compression is getting into the cooling system depending on how fast, if as you say 5 minutes , then NO, don't drive it
Consider having a shop come out to do some checking and decide based on what they find..

Default possible leak spots

I've attached an image so I'll be referring to that. I circle in red a tube that I've seen rusted out (hole in it). It will fill up the valley underneath the intake. Also circled in green the thermostat housing seal could leak but I've never seen it that bad to be losing gallons. The engine could be overheating due to air in the system because of the leaks. Like Hanky said overheating could cause engine damage. Since your losing so much it could be a warped head, in most cases you'd be seeing white smoke from the exhaust and/or the engine running rough. Good luck hope this helps.

Default Problem identified, searching for part number

The problem has been located and now I'm searching for the part number for the Heater Hose Fitting (connector?). Thank you all for your responses.
