Default Chip Install for more performance

Own 2012 Titanium with Ecoboost engine, love the car and thinking about installing the GForce Chip for added performance. Would somebody kindly shed some light on me about this product. Does it really work? Pass emissions test? Factory Warranty? For $69 it sure seems to do a lot.......

Personally, the GForce Chip is nothing more than a 50¢ resistor in a fancy package. It gets spliced into the Air Intake Temperature sensor to fool the computer into thinking that the intake air is colder than what it actually is. This in turn causes the computer to increase the injector pulse times and advance the timing. Just a waste of money. You gain nothing but increase fuel cost.

Good call, do not fool around with the Ford Engineers, I'm sure if these car guys could make things better without cost you fuel mileage they would have done this by now. Put your wallet back into your pocket.

You don't get something for nothing.

skip.

Seen it done before. You will regret it when you bring it to the dealer and they wave bye bye to your warranty. Your PCM, & everything else that maybe damaged from all that aftermarket crap.

WRONG...

The Magnuson–Moss Warranty Act of 1975 prevents this (MFG/Dealer scare tactics) from occuring. The warranty cannot be voided just because you use or installed an aftermarket product or item/devise. The "BURDEN OF PROOF" falls on the MFG to prove that the failure of a warranted item was caused by the use or installation of an aftermarket product.

so this is how it will go down. FORD will take your car work on it to figure out the issues lets say 3 DAYS. they finally figure out that its the AFTERMARKET crap and you will pay 3 days of labor on top of sending your crap back to the company complaining and FORD will VOID your warranty. Been there and seen it. If it doesn't belong on the car dont install it.

This is one of those situations where a lot is up to the individual dealership, with the relationship you have with the dealer, how tolerant they choose to be and just how far they want to go to keep you as a customer. Believe it or not all you gents are correct !
It depends on where you stand and how you see the situation. Technically you can draw the line in many places, but sometimes it's best to leave well enough alone.
