Default Hoped for options on the 2017 Flex

Why does Ford require that we take the 20" wheels and wide tires as part of some other unrelated option packages. I want to order an SEL with All Wheel Drive because of rain, snow and ice, so I want the 18" wheels and tires. These wide 20" tires are like a deer on ice, even in heavy rain. This requirement is just plain stupid.

Example, I just want AWD and a different color paint on the roof. If you pick a different color roof option, you automatically are forced into package 202A, with makes you accept 20" wheels/tires, and several other things.

Dear Ford, please fix this for us who want AWD that isn't on a set on skis. Why can't we get any wheel/tire option available for the Flex?

Thumbs up

Welcome to the site..

I had my truck built, I wanted everything that the Lariat offered but I didn't want leather seating. Can't do it.
The dogs nails are tough on leather,, looks great new, then after years usually some normal wrinkle areas etc. Hot environments as well, not fun, and harder on the leather. Expensive to repair...

I liked the white gauge faces on the Lariat, wood panel trims, wheels etc.

Being it's being built, everything should be available at the time of conception.
It was built as a loaded XLT/FX4 and I added the interior roof console, under hood blanket, inner wheel well mud deflectors, remote start, PIE interface for MP3/GPS inputs to the system audio. Was ordered with aluminum wheels, but Ford dropped the item and it showed up with chrome clad steels..

Would be nice it they'd add in/ delete and package item....
