Default 01 Tire size

I need to buy a new set of winter tires. Currently my 2001 focus uses P195/60 R15 which are 24.2 inches in diameter I want to buy a new set of tires and rims which are P195/65 R15 and 25.00 inches in diameter. Would this slightly larger version be ineffective and wear down faster or will they be okay for a three or four winters?

A few hits but no replys. Can anyone at least post their thoughts or assumptions? It will help me make a decision.

Default RE: 01 Tire size

Two weeks ago I replaced the rear tires on my Focus Wagon. As yours did, mine came with 60 series tires. I put 65 series on and as you said, they are less than an inch taller and just a shade narrower. I only replaced the rear and I don't notice any difference in the handling. I don't see why it would hurt to put a full set on, although it MIGHT affect the speedometer reading just a touch. Just my thoughts.
