Default 2000 engine swap

I have an 2000 Focus with the standard 2.0 i-4 in it and was wondering if 2.0 from a 2005 would fit right in place of it. Any help would be greaat.

Default RE: 2000 engine swap

It will fit although you will need the 05 engine wiring harness and computer. The chassis platform is the same from 2000 to 2007.You will also need the 05 engine mount and all accesories with that engine including power steering hoses to the rack and pinion.

dont bother sticking a 2.0 duratec in your car, stick with zetec or upgrade to a 2.3L duratec..
