2000 Focus only starts when engine is cooled
Okay so me and my wife own a 2000 Ford Focus and let me first say nothing but problems from day one......
My newest problem was the battery so I had it completely replaced which was a hassel in itself.... it was so corroded with battery acid that it had to be chisseled out of the mounting...... After the battery was replaced the car ran fine for 3 days...... then whenever you would drive it somewhere and try to start it again nothing but a small clicking noise......Took it to pep boys and they checked all wires, starter, alternator, and battery all perfect..... Car only starts after sitting for awhile and engine completely cools down??????
Please if anyone has any input on this problem I would fully appreciate a solution.....

The fact that the battery was in such bad condition may help explain why it has been problems from day one. Could it be that you are too busy and are not having the regular maintenance performed. Unfortunately , a lot of folks feel that today's cars will run forever without any maintenance. It does catch up with us eventually.
When you take it in for the "no start when hot problem" try to make sure the vehicle gets checked while hot.
