Default 2007 Ford Focus Won't move when brake is released

Hello! earlier today I had hit a speed bump a little too fast and didn't really think much of it. But after returning to my car laster and trying to take off, I realized that I cannot move unless I apply pressure to the gas pedal. Other than that the car still drives perfectly fine. After parking for the night, I did notice a strange smell coming from the engine bay of the car, doesn't smell like typical engine oil burning. Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated. Thank you!

The wise thing to do is to have your vehicle checked by a good shop for either a crushed brake line or parking brake cables that are possibly corroded and are not completely releasing.
