You need a release tool.. You can get them, or a set of them,for A/C, Fuel Lines ect forthese spring'quick' releasesthat should do the job on the PS line as well..NAPA or most any auto tool vendors usually have them....
If your handy, you 'can' experiment and make a tool out of copper tubing or nylon tube ect. that will release the coupling.. I've made them for some of the heater hose quick connections for various makes/applications especially where room/time was an issue.. A split collar that fits 'against' the OD of the tubing/fitting, and is a 'snug' fit on/in the ID of the hose when inserted will expand the connectors spring for a release..
