Installing a AC System, need advice on wire
If someone can look up older Ford focus wires would be great, to verify my 2007 wires..
AC Directions are telling me to cut 2 wires and bypass them to a new switch to install a New AC System that is Aftermarket
Directions are as follows..
Locate black 4 Pin wire connector with 4 wires,
White/Red Green/Red Brown/Red Green/Yellow
Cut Green/Yellow and Green/Red
connect to new Pressure Switch
However I do not have this color..
I have
White/Red Green/Red Brown/Red Green/Orange
I will assume they want me to use the Green/Orange
These Directions are for 2000-up
I own a 2007
Maybe 2000-2004 were Green/Yellow?
Switch wires on my Car are as Follows...
White/Red A/C Pressure Switch Signal
Green/Red Dual Pressure Switch Input
Brown/Red A/C Pressure Switch Signal Return
Green/Orange Duel Pressure Switch Output

Something to think about.
When a vehicle today comes with factory air and computers, keep in mind the computer needs to know when A/C is requested so it can alter the engine RPM to provide for increased load. Also with the smaller engines and some larger ones, most will disable the A/C when WOT is done to provide addl power for passing etc. Today's vehicles don't leave much to be changed since so much is controlled by the computers and I mean more than one. There are modules for every control except birth control.
Not to "Bust your bubble", but think this through and do your homework.

the instructions come with all the computer connections and aditional after market saftey switches, it does talk to the computer, infact connecting this is telling the computer to kill the clutch when the car is WOT and under heavy load..
Trouble is the directions say cut Green/Yellow ... does a 2000-2003 have a green/yellow and they upgraded the colors to green/orange later models?

2000-2001
DP switch (2 wire connector) GN/RD,GN/YE (GN/YE PCM control)
Cycling GN/OG,GN/RD
2002
DP switch GN/RD GN/OG
Cycling GN/OG GN/YE (GN/YE PCM control)
2003-2007
DP switch (4 wire) GN/RD, GN/OG, WH/RD, BN/RD
Cycling GN/OG, GN/YE (GN/YE PCM control)
Looks like PCM contol between 2000-2001 is on the DP, 2002 up was on the cycling.
