My used 97 focus has no owners manual.
Where is the fuse for the lighter socket?

sry im not much help w/ ford cars, but i would check the fuse box under the dash...im sure you've checked there, but maybe there's a second box under the hood?

This is a European Focus? Should be a a 98 if so, since they started production there in July 98..

Focus wasn't available in the US market until 2000.. Earlier models were manufactured for the European market.. Are you sure about the model year?

Not sure about the differences on the early models, but this site would have the user guides for 2000-up.. (You'll notice the Focus doesn't appear in the year menu until 2000) May be that the fuse location would be the same..

Its in the Central Junction Box (CJB) fuse position 47, a 20 amp fuse..

Go to the link below and enter the year/model and open or save the PDF Owners Guide.. Go to page 155 and it will show you the fuse position in the box..
