what the heck kind of fuel filter hook-up is it?
[:@]i own a 1993ford F-150 and i want to change the fuel filter. i have never seen a filerset-up like this before. it looks like a regular fuel filter but the gas lines run inside of itand i dont know how to takethem out.[:@] it just seems to be clamped from the inside. what should i do? and im not taking it to a dealership or a repair shop because they screw you on prices![:@]![:@]![:@]![:@]! Do i need a special tool to get it off or should i cut the lines and put a normal fuel filter on???
thanks.

Almost everything now use 'quick disconnect' fittings/couplings.. Fuel, A/C, Heater hoses, and much more.. You'll need the fuel line tools, and are available in varying styles.. Most tool/parts vendors sell them and aren't horribly expensive.. The ones pictured are a decent set, easy to use, but you can find less expensive nylon release tools for about 5.00+.. I think some of the parts vendors have the pictured set for around 20-25.00.. When releasing the coupling, use compressed air if available to remove any dirt in the coupling, then spray some lite penetrant into the coupling.. Insert the tool until it bottoms, and lightly pull/twist the hose off.. It shouldn't need any brute force...
