Default 04 freestar ac troubleshoot

The ac in my van finally kicked the bucket. My mechanic just replaced the compressor and started to work well. After 30-45 minutes of running it went hot again. When we start it cold it blows cold for a hot minute then goes hot. We replaced an orifice tube about two years ago. Any ideas on where to start?

There is more to this than what is being told.
We need to know why the compressor failed and if flushing the system was necessary , was it done? Was the receiver /dryer replaced ?
We need to know the gauge readings. Without them you are flying blind. Can you post them here ? Need low pressure readings at idle and 2000 RPM, A /C on Max.
Also , high pressure readings. Thank you.

If it dies from the "BLACK DEATH", then the system would need flushed. Also, if you have rear a/c, they should flush the rear lines/evaporator and replaced the line filter in the rear. The condenser is of capillary design, thus is non-flushable and would need replaced as crud that is hiding in the nooks and crannies of the condenser will plug the front orifice/filter and rear filter in short order. FYI, the rear a/c uses and expansion valve.
