brake issues 2005 Freestar
Hey all, I put new pads on my wifes 2005 Freestar and had a heck of a time collapsing the rear pistons. I know they turn and I finally got them but I was unabe to do so on the vehicle. Unfortuneatly, a simple job turned in to a big P.I.T.A. on my only day off!
OK the pads are on it's back together but I know that I now must bleed the brakes. So I did so and have bled the brakes on many, many vehicles over the years with no problems until now.
The problem being that i can't get the pedal to come back after multiple tries at bleeding right rear, left rear, right front, left front. Turn off the van and it's hard. Start it up and it goes right down. If you hit it twice with the van runningthe second pump will start to bring it off the floor but the third try and it's right back down.
Something is telling me that there must still be air in the lines but I am not sure if it's that or something else that i have no idea about.
Any help to set me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated as I have to get this thing going ASAP....... Thanks much, tuneman

RE: brake issues 2005 Freestar
Hi, no it never ran dry. I kept checking it and adding to it. I've done this before but never on anything this new. The times I have changed brakes on my trucks it was a straight forward pad, rotor, emerg. brake replacement. I just wasn't sure if being a newer vehicle if there were different steps i had to take or if something else could be wrong. For all i know there may still be air in the lines. Thanks, tuneman
