Whats the reason for replacing the switches?

The steering wheel needs to be pulled to remove the air bag and gain access to the switches.

First the SRS system needs to be inactive/powered down. Then, there's an access cover on the underside/back of the steering wheel. Behind the cover is the wheel attaching bolt and connectors. Once the wheel is off, there are 3 rear wheel cover screws. When the cover is off, a few spring clips to remove the air bag..

Default cruise control

the reason for replacing the cruise control switch was the on-off button was working but you had press real hard on it and then eventually it stopped working completely
