Default Spark Plugs + Drive Belt

I have a 2005 Ford Freestar SE. Has anybody changed the spark plugs on this van. The Front 3 look failry easy but the back ones how do you get to them? Probulay just like every other van. You have a small front nose to work from. My van dont need spark plugs now but when it comes time I would like to know howto do it.

Also wanted to know if anyone has taken the drive (serpentine) belt off. A how to on that would be helpful. Many Thanks, Jason

No serpintine belt yet, but I use copper core plugs in my 2004 due to the water injection system I use. I change the plugs every year. The fronts like you say are easy. The backs are a little harder. The right rear plug you can get thru the wheel well, The other 2 you have to jack the van up and get from underneath. Make sure it's cold because yuo will come into contact with the exhaust. One must be somewhat flexible to do these. I will be upgrading to iridium plugs next year to eliminate the need of the copper plugs and the yearly replacements. These I'll probable spend the time to index in each cylinder.

The 4.2 engine is the 3.8 block bored and stroked. The belt will require the CORRECT puller or you will strip the tentioner nut. The proper unit attaches to the box end of a 15 mm combination wrench. The standard belt puller will not fit properly and can and will slip............at the worst time.

Thanks CommonSense and tomb1269. My van has over 53k on it and want to flush the coolant and change the fuel filter. Have you tried the Fuel Filter? I cannot find a Haynes or Chiltons manual for my Van. How are the 4.2l V6 onpower. I have the 3.9L and it does me well. I heard the 4.2L has more torque.
