2010 Ford Fusion Front Brake Caliper Bracket Replacement
Good Morning All,
I was replacing the rotors and brake pads on my 2010 Ford Fusion and ran into issues. One of the floating guide pins on both front brake caliper brackets were seized and broke on removal. After removing the broken bits I tested the holes and found the pins that remained in good condition weren't able to slide through and were seizing.
Edit: To clarify. The pins in good condition work on the holes that did not have seized pin in them. But do not work on the holes that had the seized and broken pins.
I assume there is probably a way to re-hone the holes through drilling - but I'm just a guy in a garage. I don't have a drill press to get a nice even and true and precise cleaning of the holes. Using a hand drill will probably result in me messing up the holes. Just a fact about my level of machining skill. And since this is the brakes and safety is an obvious concern, didn't want to risk that.
I was looking to just replace the brackets and be on my way - but I can't seem to find front bracket replacements. All the parts sites I find have ones for the rear positions and not the front.
Is anyone able to confirm if front and rear are the same (I don't believe they are). And if they are not, where I could find front ones for purchase?
Thank you for any help, it is very appreciated.

Rear brakes typically are smaller than the front brakes, and thinner as well. so the rear brackets will not work on the front brakes. If you can't find the front brake brackets on the usual websites (RockAuto, Ebay, etc) an option would be a junk yard. It's not the preferred option but an option.
