2013 Fusion replace BdyCM with 2014
I'm thinking of getting a 2014 BdyCM to replace the one in my 2013. I already have the asbuilt of a 2014 with the same feature set so I would just need to update the VIN after loading as far as I know.
My question though is has anyone attempted this previously or does anyone know of a reason it won't work. Looking at the module connections are the same and the fuse layout is the same in the manuals for a 2013 and 2014. Just to note it is a hybrid I'm doing this on not sure if the gas model was the same from 13 to 14.

Let me try to clarify, I know programming is complicated, but have my asbuilt backed up and the body is the same from 2013-2014 along with the engine. Along with that the 2014+ BCM asbuilt layout is well documented.
Last if something went wrong I will have my current BdyCM to switch back in.
I really just want to know is the wiring at the BCM routed to the same components between the two. If so then this is possible.

You can play that game if you want to, but if the BCM you install does not work be ready to call for assistance because reinstalling the original may not work anymore.
That is what happens with a PCM and would think a BCM would do the same thing.
