Hybrid Battery Damage??
Almost home the fuel pump on my 2012 Fusion Hybrid went out. I limped home and had the car towed to the dealer. They are replacing the fuel pump but said the hybrid battery is at zero charge. Should I expect the battery to have been damaged?

The only answer is after running the engine and the generator attempts to charge it will you know.
It is after all 7 plus years old and the batteries usually don't last more than 5-7 years. I hope you are sitting down when you get the price of a new hi voltage battery.

Some places will replace only the "Presently" bad cells to help save some $$$. That still requires some labor by a qualified shop to have that done if available there.
Hybrids are a good idea, but folks never ask about battery expected life or cost to replace.
The savings in gasoline consumption can be taken back with the cost of a new battery.
