Brake light, traction light is on
I have this persistent C0049 code on my 2013 mustang. The "Service Advancetrac" and Traction Control lights are on as the car thinks it has low brake fluid. Thea abs light is off. Well the I replaced the brake fluid level sensor, checked writings, tested abs pump in forscan(test passed), brake pads are good, all wheel speed sensors are good, what else should I look. I have been trying day n night to solve this but no luck yet. Help me out please. Local mechanic charged me $200 for diagnosis and told me that I will have to replace abs module and may be instrument cluster module as well. Can'tsspend $750 for that. I'm Very confused.

A code is supposed to provide some direction , but may not pinpoint the cause. Have you looked into the info your display is sending ? SERVICE Advancetrac and Traction control ? With a Mustang it is pretty easy to spin the wheels , also harsh maneuvers can trigger the traction control too. What you might try,
remove the battery negative cable for approx 20 min. then reconnect it . The code should go away. This will require you to drive the vehicle some to allow it to reprogram itself to normal driving habits. Just don't touch the throttle pedal when you first start it so it can set it's own programmed idle specs. Let it idle for a few minutes. Then when driving normally see if it resets the code and messages.

Ok airbag codes would not be related to abs/brake/traction light.
All three of those lights would be on if the vehicle thinks it is low on brake fluid, which is what the code is saying. Using a live action/commanding scan tool you can control take control of the circuits and see if the issue is in the cluster or in the ABS module.
You did not specify what year so I cannot give specifics but this code can be set by a few things - the brake level sensor, the wiring from the brake level sensor to the ABS module, the ABS module, the IC module.
How it works is the brake level sensor is a float that makes contact except when the brake fluid is low, when it is low the sensor which floats on the fluid does not make contact and the circuit is opened, the ABS module sees this and send a message to the IC(instrument cluster).
Did you put the float in the correct way? some you can put in upside down so they work in reverse.
If you specify which year you have I can post wiring diagrams for the sensor to the ABS module so you can check the wiring there.
