Default smells likea burning clutch

whats up 88 mustang 5.0 manual, is there supposed to be a dipstick for the tranny cause i dont have one ha, unless im missing it if someone can tell me where it is located and also, everytime i start my car i leave it in nuetral, and the car starts to smell really bad,, like a clutch burning, its not the brakes cause the tires move freely, i was wondering if anybody knows something about this, i was told the clutch was just put it and broken in, the smell does not go away constantly stays

There is no dipstick on a manual trans.[hr]There are 2 plugs on the side of the trans 1 is a fill plug (upper)[hr]The bottom plug is the drain.[hr]As for the clutch somthing does not sound right.[hr]It may be on it's way out.
