Supercharging 427 help.
G'day all.
Thinking about supercharging a 67' fastback. But was just wondering if a blower made for a GM would fit on a 427 with a custom made manifold? I find the range of blowers for Ford a bit scarce. What about the pully system? What other problems am I facing with this. And I also want a scoop sitting on top of the blower, but not spaced with a massive carb, because it is illegal in my state (Australia, the f*ckwits) to have something that would cause any visual blockage, so something a bit lower like the picture below. And what do different snout lengths have on performance and fitting specs. I like the look of longer ones than the short. Give us a hand Im still only young and learning about engines, blowers and what not.
Cheers, Snake.

GM supercharger will most likely not fit.
You can get superchargers that don't stand up out of the hood like in the picture. In fact, the biggest reason the one in the picture rises out of the hood is because of the high rise intake and the butterfly air intake. The super charger really isn't that tall.
If you are having trouble finding superchargers for your vehicle, consider turbo chargers. A single or twin turbo can produce some major hp as well.
