Default 1992 Ranger V6 4.0L problem: high NOX

My 92 4.0L V6 failed emissions with a high NOX reading. I just put a new cat on it last year, so I pulled the code and got a #33 EGR|EVP issue. An additional symptom is a rough idle. For the life of me I can't find the EGR. All the info on the net is contradictory on whether the 92 ranger has an EGR\DPFE system. Does anyone have 1st handle knowledge of an EGR valve on the 92 4.0L V6?

I am going to work my way back from the exhaust system this weekend and see if I can find it. What ever info I get I will make sure to narrate it here; with pics if I can find it.

Thanks in advance.

Default

I still cant find an EGR. So I went to Auto Zone and they dont show one in their systems. The plan this weekend it to replace the vacuum hoses, change oil & coolant, replace O2 sensor, change air filter, and putting in a new thermostat (it needs it). The culprit I believe is going to be the Air Bypass solenoid on the intake, so I am going to replace that first.
