1995 Ford Ranger 2.3 will not start HELP!!!
1995 Ford Ranger 2.3 will not start. Checked timing all is good, you can start it with no serpentine belt, it will miss but will start. As soon as you put back together with serpentine belt it will hit but not start. Any ideas what could be wrong with truck?

The serpentine belt is driving the water pump, AC, Power steering and Alternator. One of these things is causing the trouble.
If you have no further indications pull the battery and the alternator and take them to a parts store like O'Reilly's for testing. It's free.
Also: how old are the spark plugs and wires?

Ok, the belt drives the a/c compressor, which is forever locking up and slowing down the starter, and it won't start. Or, something else is slowing down the starter; if the belt is removed, spin all the pullies, and see if anything makes a lot of noise or is frozen.
Otherwise, check that the belt isn't rubbing any wiring.
