Default 77 Ranger headlight issue...

I have a 77 F250 Ranger and the headlights only come on if the High beams switch is pushed, I turn the high beams off and I got no headlights. All other lights on the outside work, turn signals, brake lights some dash light work but not all, turn signals don't work in the dash and only 2 gauges light up.

Any knee jerk things come to mind to check and or replace?

Let me know if you need additional info.

Thanks!

knee jeck would be:
The High beam switch is bad, the high beam may work but its not letting the low beam ones work (an open in the switch), and its time to remove the instrument panel off, and replace some light bulbs.

I forgot to update our progress, and you are correct it was the dimmer switch.

Thanks!
