91 ranger 3.0, same as taurus?

Default 91 ranger 3.0, same as taurus?
I just brought a 1991 ranger with a 3.0.it looks like a taurus motor,is it the one in thesame.just in case the motor is no good I can find a taurus much easier than a ranger. thanks
