Default '91 Ranger 4x4

Does anyone have a clue as to where I should look to find information on the automatic locking hubs on a '91 Ranger 4x4. I an having a problem of them not locking in. The axles turn when I have it in 4 wheel drive, but the hubs will not lock in....
Any help is appreciated.

The best thing to do with those autolocks is to lose them and put manuals on.They will work with the shift on the fly system if you have it. there isn't much you can do about fixin them if they're broke.

I agree with Grampz, but go to the parts store, they have a Hanes Manual, specifically for the Drive line of ford trucks. Its $15.88 at Advanced Auto. It covers the whole drive line from driveshafts, differentials, hubs and clutchs. including the electronic aspect of it.
