Default ABS Light

Good day all! We have a 99 ranger with approximately 65k. About a week ago the ABS light came on when my son was going to school. When he came out after class (2 hours) and started home, the light didn't come on. Everything appeared to be ok. Then today, the same thing happened again. Any ideas on what it could be?

Thanks!!

Have you checked the level of the brake fluid? Or you may need to bleed the brakes. Maybe an air bubble is in there.

May also want to check the connectors at the wheel sensors, & hydrolic pump for moisture intrution. You can also check the wheel sensor restance for possible problems. I do not know the range values but I sure someone here does.

I have a 94 and the abs light has been on for a while. The brakes have been changed on all 4 wheels. I don't want to buy anything until im sure what it is. When I turn the ignition the lights is off then comes on and I'm not sure where to look. Any help would be awesome. Thanks.

Does the light come on even if you do not move the vehicle?
