It all depend's.[hr]If you got the clutch changed at the same time it would be a lot less$.[hr]To replace the rear main seal the trans would have to come out any way.[hr]So get them both taken care of at the same time and save $.[hr]Ok the clutch is going bad is it loosing fluid?[hr]Because if it is it is not the rear main seal it is the clutch master it sit's in the bell housing behind the flywheel and will leak in the same spot.[hr]This is sometime's miss diaignosed for a rear main seal.

do you have keep adding oil every so often..? because if you do, then it could be the rear seal, but what i really think your problem is, is that your slave cylinder for your clutch is leaking. i had the same problem on mine, i just had to keep filling up the clutch fluid resovior. when u look under the hood the resovior will be right in the corner of the firewall and the drivers side fender. its pretty a pretty small resovior too. just add brake fluid to it to top it up, then go back in your truck and pump the clutch for a while, i think you will find that it will be easier to shift, and the clutch will feel a hell of alot better. but when you take the cap off the resovior, make sure you take the rubber grommet out of there before you fill it, don't just pour fluid into the grommet because it won't do anything.
