Default RE: Heater core replacement.

I replaced heater core on my 92' Ford Ranger. I only had to unbolt the plastic housing beneath the glove compartment and disconnect the corresponding hoses in the engine compartment. It was easy. I am guessing procedure is similar for an 87.'

I purchased a Chilton's manual at the auto parts store, which explained the procedure.

Buy the replacement at a good quality parts store like NAPA. I had to replace my heater core three more times in a very brief period, when I bought it at Checker auto parts.
