How do I remove fuse panel cover?
I just bought a 2005 short-bed, reg-cab Ranger with 2WD, 5-speed auto and 2.3 liter 16-valve engine. I love this truck! Today I tried to remove the cover of the fuse panel in the passenger compartment, and it wouldn't come off. There's nothing in the owner's manual about removing the cover, so apparently it's supposed to be obvious how to get it off. There's an indented hole for your finger, and a round button on the kick panel next to the fuse panel. I tried sticking my finger into the hole and pulling, and the cover bends but won't pop off. I tried pushing the round button while pulling, but it doesn't seem to do anything.
Can anybody help me with this? Is there a trick to removing the cover, or is it a brute-force thing where you pull until it bends and bends and finally pops out, hopefully before breaking. I'd hate to break something on my new truck, even if it's just a plastic fuse panel cover.
