Im a Noob, got a Ranger, have some ?
hows it goin guys, im a noob to the forum and had a couple questions. right now i have a 98 ford ranger XLT, and im looking to get it jacked up a little bit and just spruce it up. whats the most common lift for the rangers? a nice 3 inch lift? and i knwo this is dumb, but honestly im a noob, but whats the differance between a suspension lift and body lift? will i need both if i plan on lifting the truck? with a lift on there, i can use 33 inch tires, correct? anyone have any good sugestions on who i shoudl go to as far as lift kits? im looking for just some nice introduction info on these trucks so that i can understand them a little more anyone that could help out, or even post some pics of some your lifted rangers, i would greatly appreciate it. thanks a lot...

[sm=welcomesign.gif]The cheapest fastest way to lift a ranger it a body lift. I dont know if they make a suspension lift for a ranger but if they do they would proble start at about $350.00 vs $80.00 for a body lift. I plan on doing a body lift on mine probly 3". A 3" body lift should be able to get you 33's.

A body lift is just for looks as a suspension lift is for performance as well. There are suspension lifts for rangers. Fabtech, Skyjackers, Procomp and there are others. A suspension lift will cost anywhere from 700 and up. You can check out lifts here, maybe not to buy, but they have alot of selections that you can see what will fit your needs. http://www.4wheelonline.com/Categori...?Categoryid=24
You can get just a suspension lift kit to use 33's.
Fabtech is a real nice set up. I would go with them except they don't make a kit for my 1990 truck. Too old I suppose.
