Its been 3 weeks now and nothing else has broken. The ball joints are noisy because Ford didnt see fit to add any grease fittings, but otherwise all is well. This thing just turned 64,000 miles, it has the original spark plugs in it and they are worn, and I still pull 30mpg, so I guess i'll stop complaining for now, lol.

I had a 92 explorer, had a bad vib. what I found was this . Jack the girl up level an gat a 2+4, place the board up against the face of the tire, an just slighty under the tread where it would hit the road -- does this make sense to you ??, ok now rotate the tire by hand an look at the tread as it passes over the 2+4 , what your looking for is any humps or valleys across the tread, Of the 4 new tires 3 had slipped belts,, Like you I had it at the dealer several times cause it was still warranty,,, then one afternoon I was sitting in front of it in the lawn chair having a beer an telling it what a sorry worthless piece of iron that it didnt even deserve to wear the blue oval--- when it occoured to me they had balanced the tires like 6 times , drive shaft checked once an , replaced once,, also while you got the 2+4 out place it next to the sidewall an spin the tire by hand same thing get board as close to the tire as possible before it hit it...

Did you change your pinion angle when you added the suspension lift?

I bet the previous owner didnt use this truck but ABUSED it. There is no reason those things should have gone wrong with that few of miles on it. I have a 2000 ford ranger that just rolled over to 240k miles. It has always been maintained well and I use this for a work truck almost every day. The transmission lasted 140k miles and the 4L motor is going strong.
