Im going to try to keep this short. I have a 94 Ranger with a 4cyl wrecked. Truck runs great get in drive around the yard just bent the frame and front cap. Well I was hauling some scrape to scrape yard the other day and noticed a guy pulling a 94 across the scales body and interior in great shape. He said the motor went out in it so he sold the tranny to his buddy and was going to pull the motor for the aluminum but decided not to. I looked under the hood and he had cut the wiring harness on the engine side which was good for me. I bought it for $50 and took it home pulled my motor and tranny including the wiring harness and put it in the truck. It wouldnt crank no fire. Electrical problems [:'(].Ive replaced entire wiring system from my truck completly from under the hood to under the dash. replaced ignition switch and bump switch ( which it fired until i changed the gas tank because he put a hole in it to drain the gas) everything is grounded that i can see. I tried putting it on the computer but when u try KOEO the hand held loses power so i cant retrieve codes the fuel pump doesnt come on either and i know it works.

Does anyone have any idea because im at my wits end.[sm=icon_flaming.gif]

Does the dash light up when you turn the key to the on position? when you turn it the key to the start position does it crank or it just click? Also you will want to check all your grounds are connected and clean.

 

Lights come on. Motor turns over just no spark from coil pack to plugs, and fuel pump doesnt come on. Ive checked and rechecked grounds four or five times. I know it has to be something simple gunna try changing the wireing harness on the frame. Might as well wont hurt lol.
