Hey, guys this is my first post. I inheireted a 2000 ford ranger extended cab 4x4 with the 3.0 and around 60k on the clock. Anyways I keep having problems with the dome light. I can't find the sensor or switch that turns off the dome light when the door is shut. Its goes from working to not working. I'll slam the doors to make sure they are shut good but it doesn't work. It doesn't always do this but I'm afraid of running my battery down someday. Does anyone know what I can do? Thanks in advance. -Tyler

what is wrong is the sensor in the door is going out. go open the door and spray some wd40 in the latch on the door it will make your light turn off (or at least mine did). its a temp fix but it will work for a while and when it stops working just spray again. let me know if you have anything else you need help with i have the same truck but with more miles.

yah i am on there too.... just dont have the car but made some friends and its entertaining to go on there and talk to the people.


the car blew the f up one day on the way home.

 

The only complaint I have about the ford ranger is the power....I with a had the 4.0. Its hard to adjust from a 5.9 to a 3.0..
