Hey, does anyone know the speaker sizes in a 2005 Ford Ranger XLT Regular cab?

I have a 2003, and it had 5x7/6/8 speakers, all manufactures must not measure the same. I found 5x7 speakers that barley fit and found 6x8 speakers that fit with room to spare. I ended up going with 6 1/2 componets in front and 5 1/4 componets in the rear. The rears fit great, the front took a bit of work.

Thanks for the info. I just added a Kicker L7 sub and now I am going to start looking for some new door speakers. I am thinking about going with Alpine. What do yall think and what size would fit in my doors?

I would go with whatever you like. Different speakers sound different to different people. I use and have used MB Quart speakers for many years because they sound the best to me, being I have a hard time with high notes and they use hard dome tweeters, however some of my friends say the highs are much too much for there taste. Another friend spent top dollar on a set of boston proseries componets and swears by them, however with my ears, I just cannot experiance the high's like I can with my Quarts being that boston uses a soft domed tweeter. Go with what sounds good to you. I would recommend a 5 1/4 componet set if you want an easy install. If you don't mind a little work fitting the speakers, go with some 6 1/2 componets.
