Trouble Keeping Running - FIXED
#11
RE: Trouble Keeping Running
I finished being sick and had a go at the truck tonight. Replaced the drivers side plugs and wires. While I was there, I replaced the throttle position sensor and the PCV valve.
Started it up . . . idled smooth and ran like a champ. Took it out on the road: good throttle response and power, no hesitation what so ever. Great little truck.
BTW, the plugs that I pulled out were the worst I've ever seen. Stock gap is .044. Two were at .065 and showed signs of detonation. The other two were at .080, had melted electrodes and looked like they had not "sparked" in years (coated black with grime). I'm betting that was the probllem.
Thanks for everyone's pointers
Scott
