Turbo kit for 98 ranger?
Does anybody make a turbo kit for a 98 ranger with the 4.0 v6?
Can i atleast find some manifolds that are flanged for a turbo?Flange style doesnt matter.I have plenty of turbos laying around with all diff. flanges. So if I can find some manifolds flanged for a turbo I could build the rest.I have intercoolers, boost gauges and boost controllers laying around as well.(I drag DSM's)
Thanks

RE: Turbo kit for 98 ranger?
There are no Turbo kits or anything that I am aware of. You'rebest bet is to use a header with a flange welded on it to mate to a turbo. Plus trying to find the room for smooth plumbing and an area that can take the heat. You'd be better off force-feeding it with a supercharger. That's more do-able.

Thats what I figured.
I just thought since they made them for the old 2.3.Im pretty sure they did anyways. That maybe there was one out there.
You wouldnt happen to know there I could get some cheap or used headers at would ya.I dont want to spend alot of money for a mock up set oh headers.
Thanks for your reply

RE: Turbo kit for 98 ranger?
I know that the 98 Rangers only came with the 4.0L OHV engine. However, the 4.0L SOHC is still a Cologne engine and may still retain the same exhaust bolt pattern at the OHV version. Easiest way to tell is to compate exhaust manafold gaskets. If the same, then EXPLORER EXPRESS sells headers for the SOHC that then may work. They are pricey since they are polished stainless. Also, I believe that Pacer, Edelbrock, Hedman and JBA also make headers for the 4.0L OHV.
